SeaQuest DSV
SeaQuest was a series, popular in the mid - 90's, featuring scientists which
made up the crew. Mark's character appeared in two episodes "Dream Weaver"
on 2/19/95, and "Splashdown" on 5/21/95.
In "Dream Weaver" Tobias is a blind astrophysicist, who also teaches at the university. He is one of those professors who stretch your mind to its
ultimate state. Scott Keller, the Captain's personal friend, is also aboard and
researching a comet, due to land and sink underwater shortly. Tobias, Scott
and the crew watch helplessly as the comet disintegrates "like a giant
bromo" according to one crewer. Inside that comet though, was an alien who gets
on board SeaQuest to begin its search for Prof. Leconte. But why is an
alien in search of a blind astrophysicist? Hmm, guess you'll have to find a copy
of SeaQuest DSV Season 2 to find out!
"Splashdown" opens with most of SeaQuest's crew seeing a vision of Scott
Keller asking for help. Soon after this, their ship is pulled up out of the sea
and transported by interstellar craft to an unknown destination. The
hyperspace jump places them underwater and a submarine of some type is soon docking
with SeaQuest. The crew is greeted by Tobias and half the leaders of
Hyperion with a plea to defend the base. They report that Scott has been taken by
the Kraytaks after he led a raid on the space station. Before they can sort
this information out, they are under attack by a Kaytan, the Kraytaks most
powerful weapon. But after destroying it, SeaQuest receives a message from a
Kraytak warrior who is holding Scott hostage, and then snuffs out Keller's
life before their eyes. The Captain plans to first meet with their war council
and then to search the wreckage of the Kaytan. What Piccolo finds in the
wreckage, or I should say 'who,' makes them all wonder who they're really
dealing with. To find out, you'll have to watch "Splashdown"
(Anyone old enough to remember the 1970's program "Adam-12" ?? Remember the
rookie cop played by Kent McCord?? That's Scott Keller!!)
