Whatchers Reborn

USA 1998
Starring: Mark Hamill, Lisa Wilcox

Synopsys:
**A word to the squeamish: There are some pretty gory (what an oxymoron!) parts in this movie, so – Beware! Big gory parts… little gory parts… bloody gory parts flying all over the place… (Ummm… you get the idea.)**

Two grisly deaths, one of them of his own police partner, Gus (Gary Collins), embroil Detective Jack Murphy (Mark) in the strangest investigation of his life, which leads him to meet a super-intelligent dog named Einstein (who can, apparently, even read and write) and his co-creator Dr. Grace Hudson (Lisa Wilcox).
Dr. Hudson reveals that Einstein, as well as a hideous werewolf-like monster called The Other, have been telepathically linked in a government experiment meant to create the perfect effective-yet-expendable-soldier. Unfortunately, the experiment has failed and “The Other” is on the loose, killing everything the dog meets.
Jack, Grace and Einstein run for their lives, to hide from The Other as well as from the Feds, who are now out to kill Jack, Grace and Einstein to keep them from revealing what they know…
Do Jack, Grace and Einstein live or die? Does The Other make it out alive? Do Jack and Grace become romantically involved? The answers to these questions are… We’re not telling; we’re not telling; and – isn’t that always what happens in these kinds of movies?!
