Synopsys:
I have only viewed the trailers from the official site and read the story-line, but it promises to be a very interesting murder mystery movie (Perhaps - "Based on the trailers and the storyline from the official site, this promises . . ." would do better for the fc credits page). After John Meyers' estranged son returned home, purportedly to mend their strained relationship, John is found dead. However, was the death really a suicide, as the sheriff claims, or was he murdered? That's what Mark's character, Zeek Oakman, the local coroner believes. The obvious suspect is the town's new black sheep, David Meyers; but nothing is as it should be in the rural midwest town of Reeseville, which is itself full of odd, quirky and disturbing citizens, each with their own dark secrets to protect. Are any of them willing to commit murder to keep their secrets hidden? While Zeek digs deeper into the ever expanding mystery, David tries to come to terms with his own demons - with violent results. Could this be the next 'Fargo'? Side note - Mark has been given top billing on this movie in the official presskit and on Cinequest's site. The review of the film on Cinequest calls his performance "perfection".
