I met Mark...
A little over a year later:
I frequent a local comic shop in a mall near me where they have writers or
artist come in to do personal appearances. I never thought I would have another chance to
meet Mark Hamill again, but I did! He was coming to the comic shop at Menlo Park, New
Jersey and it was very exciting because this time it was right in my own backyard. I
arrived at the comic shop and hundreds of people were already lined up to meet him.
He arrived again on time and waved to crowd that came to meet him and was very
pleasant to each and every one of the people who came out that night. He was there in the
guise of writer for a comic series that he had pre-signed but still it was unforgettable
to see him again. It was like visiting an old friend. He is one of the nicest people that
you ever wanted to meet. The comic shop had it setup that you saw Mark first, then you got
a picture (Polaroid) taken with him, and last, you went into the shop and got your comic.
Mark did stay a little past the scheduled time to sign additional autographs. He is by far
one of the most genuine and relaxed people you ever want to meet...
I will remember always how I got the chance to meet Mark Hamill. And everything
that is written about how much he likes to meet fans is true. Hopefully one day I can meet
him again but for now I’m content with the memories of my encounter with a Jedi.
